A huge part of the work we do here at Gecko is within education, outreach, and artist development so when James Sutherland, Artistic Director of CITA Tokyo who met Gecko’s Artistic Director Amit Lahav while teaching students at East15 UK, invited Gecko to collaborate on a creative exchange residency, we very enthusiastically accepted.

We are delighted to announce that we have received a grant of £499,999 from Arts Council England to help fund the building and development of the Gecko Creation Space on Ipswich’s Waterfront.

Amongst many other exciting things, Gecko are currently in the process of developing a new show. The show is at an early stage that Amit refers to as the ‘Thinking Year’.
